WhatsApp QR Code Generator
The QR Code opens a WhatsApp chat with your number — and, if you like, with the first message already written: all the person has to do is press send.
This is a sample — generate your own QR Code
Generate QR CodeWhat a WhatsApp QR Code is and how it works
A WhatsApp QR Code is a code with your number written into it and, if you want, the first line of the conversation. Someone points a camera — and a chat with you opens: nothing to look up in contacts, no digits to dial. The first step has been taken for them.
Why write the first line into the code
People write more readily when the message is ready: they do not have to invent a way to start a conversation with a company they do not know. And that line works as a label. Make separate codes for the window, the flyer and the box, put its own line into each — and the text of the first message shows where the person came from. No separate statistics are needed for that: it is all there in the conversation.
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR Code?
The same pattern on paper — different options once it is printed.
- A static code is tied to its link for good, and that link cannot be changed.
- Analytics are not available for codes like this either.
- The link or the file the code leads to can be changed at any moment.
- Analytics show the number of scans, the countries and the devices.
- You can set a password, an expiry date and a limit on how many people it lets in.

A QR Code in your brand colours
Add a logo, your brand colours and the shape of the elements — and the QR Code becomes part of your design on packaging, in a menu, on a business card or in a shop window.
- Logo — upload your own file.
- Colours — set the code, the background or a gradient.
- Shape and eyes — choose the shape of the elements.
- Frame — add a caption and set the style.
- Preset — save the styling for your next QR Codes.
Where a WhatsApp QR Code works best
Where someone is ready to ask but not ready to ring: at a closed door, over a box with an order in it, at a trade-show stand.
A shop window and a closed door
The most galling time of day is the one when you are closed and someone is standing at the door. A sticker on the glass turns “I’ll come back sometime” into a message you read in the morning. The ready-made line saves them the awkwardness of the first sentence.
Packaging and a note in the order
A question about the goods comes up over an open box — and that is where it should be answered. Put the line “Question about an order” into the code, and you know what it is about before you have finished reading the message.
A flyer and a notice
Booking in two moves: point the camera, press “Send”. Hand flyers out in three places, put a different line into each — and the messages show which handout worked.
A tradesperson’s card and a van
A plumber, a tutor, a courier: a code with a chat behind it on a card or on a van door — and the person writes while they still remember. If you want to hand over the whole contact as well as the chat, the thing to print beside it is a vCard QR Code.
A stand and a presentation
At a trade show the code goes on the counter, in a hall on the last slide. The conversation does not end with the event: questions arrive in the chat in the evening and a week later.
A short check before the code goes into the window
Without it the phone of a guest from the next country will not know whose chat to open — and guests like that are exactly the ones who write instead of ringing.
Check two things at once: that the chat opens on your number, and that the ready-made line lands in the message box in full rather than cut off.
“Message us on WhatsApp”. Without a caption the pattern on the glass looks like a link to a website, and half the passers-by will not even come closer.
One copy from the same print shop and the same paper: on gloss a code glares more than on a matte sticker.
