Text to QR Code Generator
Write a short text into a QR Code — an instruction, a greeting, a batch number: the person points the camera and reads it right on the screen, even with no internet.

Generate QR CodeWhat a text QR Code is and how it works
A text QR Code is the only kind of code that holds words rather than a link. The camera reads the pattern and shows what is written straight on the screen — the phone goes nowhere and downloads nothing. That is why a code like this works the same in a basement, in a field and on a plane.
Someone points a camera at the QR Code.
The text appears on the screen — there is nowhere to go.
It can be copied: into a note, into a search box or into a code field.
The code needs neither an account nor the internet: it reads for as long as the paper lasts. It cannot be switched off either — not by us and not by you. For the same reason scans of such a code are not counted: the phone contacts nobody.
The words are sewn into the pattern and change only together with it. If the content is going to be updated — a timetable, a list of ingredients, the terms of an offer — point the code at a page instead: a URL QR Code can be edited at any moment.
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR Code?
The same pattern on paper — different options once it is printed.
- A static code is tied to its link for good, and that link cannot be changed.
- Analytics are not available for codes like this either.
- The link or the file the code leads to can be changed at any moment.
- Analytics show the number of scans, the countries and the devices.
- You can set a password, an expiry date and a limit on how many people it lets in.

A QR Code in your brand colours
Add a logo, your brand colours and the shape of the elements — and the QR Code becomes part of your design on packaging, in a menu, on a business card or in a shop window.
- Logo — upload your own file.
- Colours — set the code, the background or a gradient.
- Shape and eyes — choose the shape of the elements.
- Frame — add a caption and set the style.
- Preset — save the styling for your next QR Codes.
Where a text QR Code works best
Wherever what is needed is not a page and not a document but a few words. And most often where there is no signal to count on.
A sign with the rules
Pool rules, how to hand the keys back, instructions for the door entry system. The text appears right on the screen: no internet and no page on a website are needed for it — so there is nothing to break a year from now.
Batch number and serial number
On the item, the box or the tag: a member of staff points a camera and copies the number with one tap — instead of writing it out by hand and getting a digit wrong.
A card and a gift
A wish, a poem, a short message. Nothing opens in a browser — only your words, and only for the person holding the card.
Equipment in a basement and out in the field
Where there is no signal at all a link is useless: the phone shows a network error. The text lies in the pattern itself and reads a year later, with no connection at all.
A door code and a booking number
A short string that is awkward to dictate: the guest points a camera and copies it without mistakes. A password for the guest network is better written as its own type — a Wi-Fi QR Code: the phone connects on its own.
A text pattern is denser than usual — check four things
Every extra sentence thickens the pattern, and a dense pattern is harder for a camera to take.
Greek, Cyrillic and the like give a denser pattern than the same number of Latin letters — keep such a text very short.
Print the code at the size it will be on the tag and point a camera at it: a text pattern forgives less.
Small dots must not run together — for the print shop take SVG.
